A vintage – and huge – glass vase of waisted hourglass form, decorated ‘a reticello’ – a complex pattern of cross-hatched white opal glass canes and trapped bubbles between the hatching. It was made at Stefano Toso’s studio in the 1980s on the island of Murano.
XL Stefano Toso Reticello Hourglass Murano Glass Vase
Condition
Some bubbles that ‘escaped’ the canework during production and bubbles that were cut through on the rim in the finishing process. See images for both. However, these scarcely detract from the vase when viewing and are reflected in the asking price of this monumental piece of glass.
