An uncommonly large antique white opaline glass ‘flycatcher’ shade with spritzdekor (spray-decorated) all around the outside, comprising bold and dynamic floral motifs against a soft orange background with a ‘vermicular’ pattern. Probably German in origin, and dating to the 1920s or thereabouts.
Complete with stylised metal bosses that terminate the chain hooks, and three lengths of period chain.
Will require a ceiling hook and existing lamp-holder to install.

Condition
Minor deterioration to the paint, as can be seen in the image, but this appears to be both stable and historic, and is almost entirely invisible when suspended. Otherwise, in excellent condition.
