A good sized vintage wall-hanging polychrome putti made of hand-carved wood, probably linden wood, hand-painted and parcel-gilt in a warm gold leaf. Depicting a wingless putto sneaking a taste from the honey pot they appear to have stolen, and decorated in a distinctly Victorian/Edwardian style, it was most likely made in the 1970s in the German Alps.
It hangs via an eyelet to the verso.
