An attractive and very heavy wall mirror with a convex plate and a thick wooden frame decorated with a chunky rope twist design and distressed gilt finish that reveals the oxide red bole. It dates to the last quarter of the 20th Century, and is probably German or Belgian in origin.
The convex plate and gold leaf makes the mirror ideal for brightening dark hallways and shadowy corners.
Has both hanging wire and hanging eyelet to the verso.
