An unusual vintage triform glass table lamp made of clear glass with random straps of vibrant red, cased again in clear, given a bit of depth and mystery with an acid-etched satin finish inside and out. The glass is mouthblown and hotworked, giving it an uneven profile and a tactile feel.
Despite our best attempts, we’ve been unable to find a maker, but the old ½” British Brass Thread tube fixed into the lamp base indicates that it is most likely British, or certainly made for the British market, and from the 1970s or earlier.
The lamp has been dismantled, cleaned and rewired, with a brand new British-made solid brass safety switched bulb-holder, and a generous length of premium Italian twisted double insulated 3-core cable with a vintage style black and white zig-zag braid. The lamp is fitted with a new fused 3-pin UK plug, which will be removed for international sales unless otherwise requested.
The lamp accepts a single B22 bayonet cap bulb.
