A very (very) large table lamp, with a mouth-blown cased glass body comprising a red-orange exterior layer and an opaque white interior, and turned English elm stepped cap and base with a dark stain and wax finish. The lamp has a secondary bulb inside the body that lights it from inside, creating a very warm glow. It was made in mid- / late 1960s in Sweden.
It comes with a large shade from the same period that we picked up in Denmark, decorated all over with a daisy-like pattern.
The lamp accepts two E27 Edison screw bulbs. It has been rewired, with two new Italian lamp-holders and a generous length of Italian 3-core cable with a vintage-style mottled black and white woven braid, and an inline switch.
Vintage 1960s Swedish Red-Orange Cased Glass Table Lamp & Shade
Condition
A few very minor and isolated marks to the glass, and a little sun-fading to the shade’s fabric, otherwise excellent.
