A matched set of four port or fortified wine glasses from the ‘Astrid’ series, with a delicate flared bowl and unusual ribbed stem. They were designed in 1923 by Simon Gate for Swedish glassworks, Orrefors.
The colours differ slightly between them – two are a smoked brown, and two are similar but with a faint hint of blue. Only noticeable when against a brilliant white background, and not in general use.
