A striking multimedia wall hanging by renowned Italian artist Vincenzo Eulisse, in collaboration with Murano glassworks Seguso Vetri d'Arte, with whom he worked to create a select number of one-off artworks in 1987.
The wall hanging, featuring a typical Eulisse scene of cyberpunk characters with flame hair and complex wardrobes holding what appears to be falcons.
The panel is made up of three layers - the front of the glass is hand-engraved with the design, and infilled with an opaque white wax that brings the scene alive, on the reverse of the glass are spatters of airbrushed translucent blues and reds that lend the image its colour, and this is placed against a thick hardboard back decorated with blacks that trace the outlines of the figures to give them depth and applied gold-leaf that give the negative spaces a shimmer. The two parts are held together in a dark-stained wooden box frame.
An additional image by Eulisse can be found on the backing paper on the reverse of the frame - a spray of airbrushed blue has been scratched into whilst wet to create a face, of sorts. On the frame itself, there's a stylised question mark, perhaps, engraved into the wood - this also looks to have been done by Eulisse's hand.
Engraved in the glass, 'Eulisse - Murano - 1987'.
The frame bears its original hook, and is ready to hang and display.

Condition
Near perfect. Small movement between glass front and hardboard rear has caused a little rubbing to the paint on the verso of the glass in small isolated areas, but this is nominal and unintrusive
