An antique pair of petite pewter candlesticks in the restrained art nouveau manner popular in Denmark around the turn of the last century. Each candlestick has a sexfoil (six-leaf) base, reeded hemispherical top below a plain knop, and gently flaring candle cups. They were designed in the 1920s by Just Andersen (1884-1943) for his own workshop, Just Andersen Pewter, Denmark.
Both are stamped to the base with the workshop’s ‘Just A’ logo, and ‘Denmark’.
