An original vintage poster for ‘J.J. Audubon - Un artiste et naturaliste français au Nouveau Monde’ (‘A French artist and naturalist in the New World’), a 1996 exhibition of works by celebrated French-American artist and naturalist, John James Audubon, author of ‘The Birds of America’ – one of the most expensive books in the world. A plate from the book, of the Tufted Auk, provides the main imagery of the poster.
The exhibition was held at the Musée du Nouveau Monde de La Rochelle, France.
