A very scarce unused promotional set for the initial 1973 East German release of Andy Warhol’s women’s liberation satire, ‘Women In Revolt’ (German title: ‘Women’), starring Candy Darling, Holly Woodlawn and Jackie Curtis. The pack was designed for local cinemas to advertise the film in-house and in the local press.
The set includes a number of items:
Two A1 posters, including the main poster for the film’s release, four A3 posters, including one duplicate, and an A4 poster.
13 large lobby cards / front of house cards, printed on glossy paper stock.
A sheet of small monochrome adverts to be used in local newspapers.
Two diapositive slides for projecting in the cinema.
The original Constantin-Film envelope, a portfolio sleeve and postcard.
The pack was recently acquired in a small collection of undistributed Constantin-Film (Communist East Germany’s sole film distributor) promotional materials.
