A relatively small Edwardian glass pendant lamp with a bell-shaped shade decorated with an attractive needle-etched design, and then etched all over for a soft, satin surface. It is English in origin and dates to the first quarter of the 20th Century.
Its diminutive size makes the lamp ideal for use in a small WC or pantry, or hung in the window recess of a larger room, as they might in Scandinavian countries.
The lamp has been rewired with a brand new British-made solid patinated brass B22 bayonet cap lamp-holder, with cord-grip, and a generous length of premium Italian 3-core double-insulated cable with a vintage-look ‘old gold’ braided sheath.
