A large original vintage hand-coloured architectural elevation for maisonettes in the redevelopment of Poole's Turlin Moor. The elevation is dated 1963, and was executed in a typical, clean mid-century style. Whilst a technical drawing, the it's very bold, visual and graphic, and would look great framed.
The chief architect for the redevelopment was Geoffrey Hopkinson, who also designed Poole's Arndale Centre. The plan was draughted by Douglas Black.
Black had a 40 year career as an architectural draughtsman, working on many civic projects in Manchester, Poole, Northamptonsshire and South Yorkshire. We acquired many examples of his work from his estate after he passed away, from his student years in the early 1950s through to his retirement in the late 1980s.

Condition
This was a working drawing, and, as you'd expect, is not in perfect condition. It has some discolouration from age, and minor wear from handling, which adds to the character and authenticity. In generally excellent condition otherwise.
