A vintage pendant lamp with a satinated opal white glass body and a castellated metal shade with black exterior and white interior that sits on it. It was acquired in Denmark, but the designer and producer is unknown. It very much resembles lamps designed by Bent Karlby for Lyfa in the late 1950s / early 1960s.
The lamp has been sympathetically brought up to modern safety standards with a new earthed bulb-holder and a generous length of premium Italian-made double insulated three core cable in a vintage twisted style with a decorative zig-zag Rayon fabric braid. The lamp accepts a single E27 Edison screw bulb.
