An original antique handpainted wooden floor lamp, or standard lamp, with knopped baluster stem and a weighted round base, decorated with a ground of rich dark green, and overlaid with gold accents and Chinese scenes, including a large Chinese dragon on the stem. The lamp was made in China in the 1920s for export to the UK.
The lamp has been dismantled, cleaned and rewired, with a new English-made safety-switched lampholder, and a generous length of premium Italian 3-core cable with a vintage style mottled grey linen braid.
The lamp accepts a single B22 bayonet cap bulb.
